摘要: Abstract In this study, the influences of rib spacing and height on particle deposition in ribbed duct air flows were numerically investigated. The turbulent flow was resolved using Reynolds stresses model (RSM) with fluctuation correction, while phase tracked by discrete (DPM). ratios to p/e 2, 4, 6, 8 10 diameter e/D 0.05, 0.1 0.2. velocity profiles for both smooth ducts as well a obtained simulation agree previous related study data. It is found that significantly enhanced surface ribs several orders magnitude, especially small particles ( τ p + 1 ) . Particle enhancement increases decreasing spacing, no significant difference different heights. mechanisms analyzed discussed relation spacings Moreover, an efficiency ratio has been defined evaluate together increase drag. maximum can reach about 1000 100 large > when p/e = 2 e/D = 0.1. Therefore, reasonable arrangement efficient effective choice enhancing deposition, could be adopted filtration devices.
