Characteristics of a cetacean morbillivirus isolated from a porpoise (Phocoena phocoena)

摘要: A virus isolated from a porpoise during the 1988 seal epizootic was shown to be morbillivirus. In order determine relationship of phocine distemper (PDV) battery monoclonal antibodies raised against canine (CDV), PDV or isolate were assessed for their ability bind CDV, epitopes in indirect immunofluorescence assays and ELISAs. The contained several unique present on CDV absent isolate. data presented this study indicate that is an antigenically distinct morbillivirus as such has been tentatively named delphinoid (DDV).
