摘要: This work reports the temperature-dependent Raman scattering study of mutiferroic BiFeO3 (BFO) bulk ceramics in a wide temperature range 93–843 K. The polycrystalline samples are sintered at four different temperatures and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), vibrating sample magnetometry, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), optical microscopy. microstructure shows remarkable changes terms grain size domain pattern as sintering increases. DSC curves show prominent exothermic peaks 645 K, antiferromagnetic–paramagnetic phase transition temperature. spectra all specimens reveal strong anomalies vicinity Neel temperature, which can be attributed to multiferroic nature BFO. studies also considerable spectral 140–200 K specimens, inferred further spin–reorientation exhibited BFO cryogenic Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
