摘要: Gas springs are devices in which the compressibility of a gas is used to provide force varying with distance. The force-distance relationship similar that provided by mechanical spring. Experiments were performed on piston-cylinder Speed, cyclic mean pressure, gas, bore/stroke ratio, volume and internal extended surface geometry varied. Hysteresis loss, pressure wave magnitude, pressure-volume phase shift measured. Nondimensional variables found correlate results, theoretical model was predict results well, over most operating range.
