摘要: In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter trial, the efficacy and safety of terazosin in combination with other antihypertensive agents were assessed using patients inadequately controlled essential hypertension (supine diastolic blood pressure 95 mm Hg or greater). Of 138 evaluable patients, terazosin-treated group (n = 84) achieved significant (p less than 0.05) mean reduction 7.3 supine when compared placebo-treated 54) who 0.6 Hg. Analysis by background therapeutic categories (beta blocker, beta blocker plus diuretic, "other") revealed that caused significantly greater decrease did placebo added to diuretic (decrease 7.2 for versus 1.5 group) drugs 7.9 1.0 group). Significant differences between treatment groups also observed systolic standing variables select subgroups. The addition not cause changes physical examinations electrocardiograms. Changes pulse rates body weight differ any category. overall incidence adverse experiences was only somewhat patients. These results suggest is safe effective administered drugs.
