摘要: Summary: "Territorial" theories argue that spatial design can only play an important role in society by virtue of there being a "correspondence" between zones and social identities. In this paper it is argued "structured non-correspondence" also positive role, with quite different consequences for design. To the extent system works on non-correspondences functions more probabilistically. It relies numbers frequencies events which take place to reproduce statistically stable global system, rather than formal clarity its structure. This gives non-correspondence systems robustness highly structured do not possess. They thus tolerate much local disorder yet be reproducible.
