摘要: Mitral Regurgitation (MR) is a common medical problem. MR also prognostic factor; patients with severe symptomatic have poor prognosis an annual mortality rate of 5% without surgical intervention. An anatomic understanding the normal and regurgitant mitral valve essential in order to evaluate appropriately severity impact MR. We briefly discuss complex anatomy, evaluation, treatment options (surgical catheter-based alternatives) according type lesion found. In particular, our group has shown temporal percutaneous annuloplasty definitive edge-to-edge repair be feasible technique. Recently study evaluating endovascular was successfully initiated by group. Acute chronic ischemic regurgitation special situations, such as paravalvular leaks, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, mixed lesions are discussed.
