PAST AND RECENT COPPICE FOREST MANAGEMENT IN SOME REGIONS OF SOuTh EASTERN EuROPE

摘要: Abstract High diversity of site conditions and vegetation patterns in South Eastern Europe (SEE), accompanied by different socio-cultural background countries, has produced a wealth diverse coppice stands variety management practices. The paper provides an overview on past recent forest four selected countries SEE: Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia Serbia, which forestry been significant importance. following main types have recognised respect to their current condition: (i) traditional forests; (ii) ‘high coppice’ (iii) forests for transformation reconstruction; (iv) with standards ‘middle-aged’ (v) pollarding (vi) selection (vii) shelterbelts (windbreaks, erosion shelterbelts, etc); (viii) oak coppices shelling; (ix) subjected no management. emphasizes the contribution sustainable resources ecological stability economic development SEE, could be achieved both considering concepts introducing new ecologically, economically socially sound
