摘要: It is widely acknowledged that exploratory search tasks require more support than currently provided on most commercial Information Retrieval (IR) systems. As a result, richer modes of interaction, and functional IR systems are being developed. But these next generation come at cost: they can place large cognitive load the user during hamper progress. In this paper, we investigate relationship between interfaces, try to understand when system effective for tasks. We present study comprising known-item different interfaces provide varying levels support. A quantitative qualitative data analysis was conducted users' performances, preferences, behaviours. Our findings suggest exists level tasks, it enabling activities appropriate task
