摘要: In this work, the photopyroelectric technique has been used to investigate phase transitions in a liquid crystal microemulsion by combining simultaneous high temperature resolution thermal diffusivity measurements and optical polarization microscopy observations. It found that, during conversion from isotropic into nematic one, micelles are expelled domains remain confined islands of material which survive down smectic range. A hysteresis profiles between heating cooling run over isotropic–nematic transition range observed ascribed different distribution sample volume runs. Finally, almost bulk-like behavior nematic–smectic confirms that significant fraction nucleation phase.
