摘要: Nitrapyrin (2-Chloro-6-(trichloromethyl) pyridine) is a selective nitrification inhibitor and 6-chloropicolinic acid its principal metabolite in plants soil. has been found to produce more phytotoxicity on some graminaceous species than acid, the opposite for dicotyledenous species. This study was conducted determine if differences activity observed with nitrapyrin monocotyledenous could be due, at least part, site of exposure seedlings two chemicals. Chemically treated bands soil were placed either above or below seeds cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), effect chemicals assessed by weighing top growth plants. reduced both when occurred through roots shoots germinating seedlings. 6-Chloropicolinic only. The influences degree obtained. inherent each compound against species, however, appears important factor regard phytotoxicity.
