摘要: A strong East Asian cold surge (SEACS) is one of the most distinct extreme weather events that can promote an improvement in local air quality. Combining atmospheric circulation with pollution index (API) datasets 47 major cities throughout mainland China 11 winter half-years (November–March) during 2001/2002–2011/2012, we investigated influence 39 SEACSs conjunction episodes on quality over China. The results showed SEACS cause considerable and a remarkable decrease API up to 4 days after outbreak day. removal efficiency pollutants by was greater than 30% north central China, eastern southwest southeast occurrence date lowest value (indicating best quality) be observed as late day from northwest outbreak, indicating process gradual Chinese outbreak. When clean originating Siberia moves southward into coastal areas southeastern increase sea level pressure, drop temperature enhancement northerly wind also tend progress gradually south SEACS-affected Asia. Thus, “early south” feature movement masses high low latitudes outbreaks.
