摘要: Abstract Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) remain attractive among advanced energy conversion technologies due to their high density and simple system configuration. Although they made an early market entry but failed attain a large-scale commercialization mainly because of inferior performance sustainment in lifetime operations production costs. There have been lots R&D efforts upgrade the long-term durability DMFCs commercially acceptable standard. These rigorous useful gaining insights about various degradation mechanisms origins. This review first briefly describes recent progress enhancement DMFC technology reported by groups academia industry. Then, it is followed comprehensive discussions on major routes associated physico-chemical origins, influence operational parameters, together with methods which employed alleviate restore losses. Finally, brief summary presented literature survey provided conjunction some possible future research directions.
