摘要: Scarps may be produced by all types of fault displacement. Although most scarps have a complex initial morphology, scarp normal faulting unconsolidated or poorly consolidated frictional materials (i.e., sands and gravels) relatively simple morphology consisting detachment-limited free face, sloping around 60°, which retreats back, progressively burying its base with raveled debris. Once the free-face burial is complete, crest become more rounded reclines provided remains transport limited erosional processes are only function gradient. In some situations, age determined morphologic dating.
