摘要: Systematic results of the field emission properties polycrystalline copper and niobium single-crystal Nb are reported. Dry ice cleaning (DIC) is found to suppress enhanced from metallic surfaces. The effect on emitting sites was investigated by means scanning microscopy up fields 250 MV/m high-resolution electron with energy dispersive x-ray analysis. number density emitters at given drastically reduced dry cleaning. Current-voltage measurements derived Fowler-Nordheim parameters partially discussed respect morphology impurity content localized emitters.
