摘要: Polystyrene-divinylbenzene copolymer (PsDVB) was covalently functionalized with monoethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), and triethanolamine (TEA) by a simple method. The sorbents were characterized in terms of functionality morphology, used for the removal p-toluic acid (p-TA) from aqueous solution. It found that DEA-PsDVB has higher adsorption capacity than MEA- TEA-PsDVB due to more accessible nitro hydroxyl groups on its surface. Further investigation adsorptive properties indicated maximum uptake p-TA occurred at optimum pH 5.3. kinetics data successfully represented pseudo-first-order model, behavior isotherms followed Freundlich model well.
