摘要: Neurones which are excited by CO2 or H+ present in a number of brainstem structures addition to the ventrolateral region medulla, site at respiratory response hypercapnia is traditionally believed originate. In this review we examine recent work concerned with establishing relationship between these chemosensitive neurones and respiration, emphasis being placed on use for purpose vitro preparations mammalian brainstem.
