摘要: Emissions and noise of aircraft engines have to be significantly further reduced efficiency increased in the future. One means is improvement airflow though engine especially so its inlet region by proper shapes. Due changes flight conditions, optimal nacelle shape varies. It would thus beneficial able change shape. Evaluations on system levels including related flow simulations support identification shaping parameters. Initial concepts possible morphing technologies are discussed as well.
