摘要: Background: Although abdominoplasty and other body-contouring procedures are being performed more frequently, the incidence of seroma complications has remained relatively unchanged. In 2000, a small retrospective series introduced progressive tension sutures (PTS) in to reduce without use drains. Objectives: The authors review PTS technique their experience with procedure. Methods: A chart 597 consecutive patients treated over 12 years was performed. Collected data included surgical setting, concomitant procedures, complications. Results: Of abdominoplasties, 52.4% were hospital 47.6% an American Association for Accreditation Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF)-accredited facility. 63.7% cases, combined another procedure(s). There no systemic related venous thromboembolisms. Conclusions: adjunct that can minimize potentially decrease complications.
