摘要: Fifty-five years after publication of the first hematopoietic stem cell transplantation this technique has become an accepted treatment option for defined hematologic and non-hematologic disorders. There is considerable interest in understanding differences its use trends on a global level macro-economic factors associated with these differences. Data numbers transplants performed 3-year period 2006-2008 were obtained from Worldwide Network Blood Marrow Transplantation member registries transplant centers countries without registries. Population data collected World Bank International Monetary Fund. Transplant rates analyzed by indication, donor type, country, Health Organization regional offices areas related to selected health care indicators using single multiple linear regression analyses. total 146,808 patients reported 1,411 teams 72 over five continents. The annual number increased worldwide highest relative increase Asia Pacific region. preferentially high income (P=0.02), not low or medium countries. Allogeneic myelodysplasia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, acute leukemias, non-malignant diseases but decreased myelogenous leukemia. Autologous autoimmune lymphoproliferative leukemias solid tumors. (P<0.01), type (P<0.01) aand disease indications differed significantly between regions. Gross National Income/capita showed wide variation explanatory content indication Hematopoietic activity increasing worldwide. preferential countries, widening gap significant suggest that different strategies are required individual foster as efficient cost-effective modality.
