PFC and Carbon Dioxide Emissions from an Australian Aluminium Smelter Using Time‐Integrated Stack Sampling and GC‐MS, GC‐FID Analysis

摘要: PFC (CF4, C2F6, C3F8), HFC (CHF3) and CO2 emissions were estimated from two potlines of the Hydro Australia Kurri aluminium smelter in Hunter Valley, NSW, 2009. Emissions using integrated sampling over a week period followed by laboratory analysis for PFCs, HFCs CO2. The emission factors similar to, but significantly more accurate than, annual found other Australian smelters (Bell Bay, Tasmania; Portland Pt Henry, Victoria) 2009, based on situ data measurements at Cape Grim, Tasmania. CF4 are larger than average reported to UNFCCC C3F8 CHF3 low do not add GHG an smelter.
