摘要: Background: Across the world there are programmes challenging negative stereotypes of people with mental health problems and associated discriminatory behaviours, but evidence base describing what works in practice is still underdeveloped. This paper evaluates effectiveness a training intervention police force England. Method: A total 109 officers attended workshops completed pre- post-questionnaires detailing knowledge, attitudes behavioural interventions. Results: Mean attitude scores fell from 2.4 at baseline to 2.3 follow-up (p < 0.0001) using 5-point Likert scale. Five key message statements were assessed – 70 % cases successfully reported more messages as compared baseline; however, stereotype linking violent behaviour overall was not challenged. Positive impacts on work, particularly improvements communication between subjects, by third cases. Conclusions: Short educational interventions can produce changes participants' towards problems, leave feeling informed confident support distress.
