摘要: Low-cost multilayer antennas are proposed for the next-generation automotive radar systems at millimeter waves. The consist of a pillbox leaky-wave antenna structure where feeding (integrated horn) and radiating parts connected by quasi-optical system made an integrated parabola several coupling slots (pillbox transition). In addition, scanning capability is obtained displacing part in focal plane transition. Three prototypes with different feed locations have been manufactured tested. stack-up consists two Rogers 5880 substrates piled up diffusion bonding process. horn transition synthesized perfect vertical metallic walls closely spaced pins, respectively. E- H-plane radiation patterns measured 74-78-GHz band show average half-power beamwidth about 11.5° 5.5°, respectively, sidelobe levels better than -15 dB to scan angle 18°. gains 24 around 77 GHz, resulting total efficiency higher 50%.
