摘要: Abstract The social learning strategies tournament was an open computer-based investigating the best way to learn in a changing environment. Here we present analysis of impact memory on ability entered into ( Rendell, Boyd, et al., 2010 ) modify their own behavior suit showed that strategy's remember past and predict future were both key its success. possibility strategy needs engage approximation ‘mental time travel’ succeed strongly implies investment randomly timed is not enough guarantee A must use strategically with reference predicted environmental states states. We examine two most successful (DiscountMachine Intergeneration) terms discuss complex moves track change. suggests human capacity for mental travel may have improved efficiency allowed humans invest more sophisticated than seen elsewhere animal kingdom.
