摘要: The northern Victoria Land coastal marine environment was investigated during the late summer 2004, within framework of Latitudinal Gradient Project (LGP), to describe physical, chemical and biological patterns water column their relationship with pelagic benthic compartments, determine what extent they change latitude. A latitudinal gradient from Cape Adare Terra Nova Bay-Cape Russell area determined on basis abiotic trophic factors. had lower values organic matter (particulate carbon 400 μg l -1 ), presumably reaching bottom via faecal pellets, but more detrital, although its nutritive value still high (carbon protein content nearly 40%), as confirmed by great quantity phytopigments in sediments (> 4.0 g ). communities changed latitude well, partially reflecting environmental gradient, also showing a large within-area variability (except for area), due complex array variables that did not
