摘要: Abstract Significant artifacts arise in T 1 ρ -weighted imaging when nutation angles suffer small deviations from their expected values. These vary with spin-locking time and amplitude, severely limiting attempts to perform quantitative or measurement of relaxation times. A theoretical model explaining the origin these is presented context a -prepared fast spin-echo sequence. Experimentally obtained are compared those predicted by theory related B inhomogeneity. Finally, “self-compensating” preparatory pulse cluster presented, which second half phase-shifted 180°. Use this sequence maintains relatively uniform signal intensity despite large variations flip angle, greatly reducing imaging.
