摘要: Abstract 1. The total concentration of free amino acids in the haemolymph adult male Rhodnius prolixus sampled at different intervals over first 40 days following a blood meal ranged from 397·9 mg/100 ml to 683·3 ml. 2. Totals for females 424·6 777·8 with proline being predominant acid both sexes contributing between 38·4 and 59·2% by weight detected. 3. Elevated post-feeding concentrations valine, tyrosine serine were observed males until about 20 after when levels these dropped below found unfed insects. 4. Methionine generally higher than before feeding substantially elevated 5 7 not detected males.
