摘要: Near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a non-invasive technique that allows determination of tissue oxygenation based on spectro-photometric quantitation oxy- and deoxyhemoglobin within tissue. This has gained acceptance as tool to monitor peripheral perfusion in critically ill patient. NIRS principle the use near-infrared electromagnetic waves for qualitative quantitative assessments molecular factors related oxygenation. Although this can be apllied any tissue, it primarily used monitoring muscle. Parameters are determined using either directly calculated or derived from physiological interventions, such arterial venous occlusions methods. Information regarding muscle oxygen saturation, consumption regional blood flow therefore obtained. Clinical applications include during resuscitation trauma septic shock well assessment microcirculatory disorders. review provides brief discussion basic principles main clinical uses technique, with specific focus studies assess usefulness intensive care emergency patients.
