摘要: Even though nanotube science has become one of the worlds most rapidly advancing areas research, very little is known about processes involved in synthesis. To study formation carbon nanotubes an environment unhindered by buoyancy induced flows generated high temperatures necessary to vaporize and grow nanotubes, we have designed a miniature arc apparatus that can produce under microgravity conditions. During first phase this project, designed, built, successfully tested mini both 1g 2.2 sec drop tower We demonstrated eliminate strong convective from produced single-walled microgravity. believe processing will allow us better understand process eventually are superior ground-based production.
