摘要: [1] We use simulations of mantle convection with surface yielding to show that multiple tectonic regimes are possible for equivalent system parameter values. Models the same lithospheric strength parameters and vigor can display different modes tectonics. Within region solutions, evolutionary pathway is dominant factor determines mode (e.g., whether operates in a plate like mode). The extent window found increase temperature-dependent viscosity contrast across system. implication models seek predict planets temporal evolution planet needs be taken into account. A further modeling studies lead conclusions regarding state planet, extra-solar particular, despite final model values remaining equivalent.
