摘要: Water samples collected during June 1966 from the Glenelg River, Vic., had tritium concentrations that decreased monotonically 35 T.U. at headwaters to 6 just above tidal influence. The dilution of tritium, by base flow, was interpreted yield estimates groundwater flow river aquifers into which has cut its course. In a lower reach approximately two-thirds total discharge 2900 L sec-1 made up additions. At later collection in April 1970 not such steady state as it time earlier collection. too perturbed for plausible interpretation observed other than three reaches river. Nevertheless method and technique have general validity humid sub-humid regions where stream regimes are effluent.
