Suppression of Mosquito Noise by Recursive Epsilon-Filters

摘要: This work addresses the problem of mosquito noise (MN) reduction in compressed video sequences. A compression-blind approach is adopted; advantage such an that it independent particular compressor used and its settings. recursive filtering scheme presented. It shown how parameter ϵ can be adaptively selected to maximize denoising performance by minimizing number outlier pixels filter's support. Simulation results show proposed blind MN-denoising outperforms existing methods.
