摘要: Abstract Pharmaceutical solids are likely to accumulate electrostatic charge through handling processes encountered both in industry and during clinical use. Important advances the past decade have continued improve our understanding enabled better control of electrostatics. Although certain areas been studied more extensively than others, much remains unexplored at fundamental level vivo deposition studies required confirm impact charged aerosols humans. This review has summarised key fundamentals, highlighted relevance industrial settings, evaluated factors that influence charging discussed measurement techniques with regards pharmaceutical powders. The gained could potentially regulatory implications, assist development manufacture powders their delivery systems.
