摘要: The perpose of this study was to provide a comprehensive description the anatomy medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL). anterior and aspects 4 unpreserved 16 preserved cadaveric human knees were dissected with particular attention being paid relationship various layers one another place MPFL within these layers. We confirmed that is distinct structure lying layer II. Its bulk varies considerably between individuals but not from side in given individual. visualisation, attachments, gross morphology are described. attachments orientation its fibres suggest it may have role limiting lateral excursion parella. common attachment tendon vastus medialis muscle superomedial patella suggests there be dynamic element such stabilishing function.
