Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Assisted Bridge Crack Severity Inspection Using Edge Detection Methods

摘要: Currently, cracks in bridge is a major problem for the existence of human life. Bridge accident increases due to lack surveillance bridges. The are common bridges frequent running heavy motor vehicles, natural calamities, etc. However, if crack width it may create transportation system. So, essential regularly monitor critical positions by capturing their images through unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), camera, vibration sensors, captured processed cracks. In this paper, UAV based inspection model focusing on edge detection (ED) mechanisms proposed support Internet Things (IoTs) applications. ED refers process identification pixels an image. after taken from UAVs transmitted Information Center (IC) internet processing using methods identify crack. If greater than threshold then actions (BC) repair or reconstruction. methodology, main work focused several BCs different existing standard such as sobel, prewitt, roberts, Laplacian Gaussian (LoG), morphological and canny methods. These implemented MATLAB R2015b evaluated Peak Signal Noise Ratio (PSNR) (SNR).
