A retrospective analysis of the leptospirosis research in Colombia.

摘要: Introduction: Leptospirosis is a re-emerging infectious disease whose prevalence often underestimated, not only in Colombia, but most developing countries. The objective of this paper to assess the research status leptospirosis Colombia order identify trends, knowledge gaps, and directions for future research.Methodology: With aim gathering all information available on country, web search was conducted various indexes databases. terms used were: + Colombia. A total 95 publications were found analyzed using descriptive statistics.Results: first report country published 1957. More than 60% works focus disease. MAT 84% studies humans are studied taxonomic group, 45% registered rodents (82.7%, 62/75), followed by (67.9%, 53/78), pigs (67.6%, 342/506), dogs (67.2%, 41/61). associated occupational factors, hygiene conditions contact rodents.Conclusion: Although prevalent limitations diagnostic techniques lack unified criteria titers thresholds, make an accurate assessment problematic.
