摘要: We studied hepatitis C virus (HCV) and human immunodeficiency (HIV) dynamics in 10 coinfected subjects a trial of pegylated interferon-alpha2a (PEG-IFN) alone or combined with ribavirin (RBV), compared IFN plus RBV for the treatment HCV. Five subjects, 4 whom were treated PEG-IFN, achieved sustained virological response, although it was delayed by >/=1 week 3 subjects. The median efficacy blocking virion production 99.7% PEG-IFN group 60% standard IFN. In 2 patients detectable HIV loads before starting HCV study drugs, we observed 1-log decrease RNA load. estimated half-life longer HIV-coinfected which suggests that coinfection may contribute to slower clearance Although early viral kinetics differ from those singly infected response seems unaffected.
