摘要: Photocatalysts are of fundamental interest for sustainable energy research [1]. By means transmission electron microscopy (TEM) it is possible to obtain insight into the structure, composition and reactivity photocatalysts. Such can be used their further optimization [2]. We have constructed a specimen holder capable shining light onto samples inside TEM. The contains laser diode an optical system that guides sample with maximum power transmission. source changed tuned, in principle spanning whole visible UV spectrum. device environmental TEM (ETEM) allowing specimens analyzed during exposure controlled gas atmosphere illumination. presently being study variety photoreactive materials structures, including photocatalysts, photonic devices solar cells. For example, holography p-n junctions both presence absence order assess beam induced charging discharging effects [3]. Here, we present results from studies novel photocatalysts ETEM light-induced phenomena. It has been found many work better or exclusively when suitable cocatalyst, such as RuO2, deposited on surface.
