摘要: Triatoma sordida is a species that transmits Trypanosoma cruzi to humans. In Brazil, T. currently deserves special attention because of its wide distribution, tendency invade domestic environments and vectorial competence. For the planning execution control protocols be effective against Triatominae, they must consider population structure. this context, study aimed characterise genetic variability populations collected in areas with persistent infestations from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Levels variation structure were determined peridomestic by sequencing polymorphic region mitochondrial cytochrome b gene. Low nucleotide haplotype diversity observed for all 14 sampled areas; π values ranged 0.002-0.006. Most obtained haplotypes occurred at low frequencies, some exclusive only one studied populations. Interpopulation analysis revealed strong structuring. Furthermore, Brazilian small compared Argentinean Bolivian specimens. The possible factors related reduced structuring are discussed paper.
