摘要: Physical and chemical characteristics of the water column sediments at sea bass/sea bream farm located on middle Adriatic island Brac were investigated during 2001-2006 period Measurements samplings performed stations inside area reference station, approximately 1 km distant from farm. Investigated parameters in temperature, salinity, transparency, suspended matter concentration, oxygen saturation nutrient concentrations. Parameters measured granulometric composition, redox-potential, organic matter, carbon total nitrogen content, phosphorus (P) species concentration (biogenic apatite P, authigenic detrital P bound to iron oxides hydroxides P). Transparency all followed natural seasonal course, although constantly lower values relative site indicate a certain impact fish farming this parameter. Impact was moderately expressed surface layer through deficiency increased concentrations dissolved inorganic nitrogen, orthophosphate urea due excretion degradation their metabolic products. Sediment enhanced under cages compared site, while mainly within range "natural" Sequential analysis showed an portion biogenic decreased with respect pool station as direct consequence farming. carbonates well content reflected sediment rather than influence.
