摘要: The importance of preoperative chemotherapy in a multimodality management patients with colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) has been demonstrated. We analyse the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) changes following neoadjuvant CRLM who underwent resection. final cohort included 107 eligible patients. Increased CEA levels were defined as increase baseline level at diagnosis compared after completion chemotherapy. Disease-free survival (DFS), post-recurrence (PRS) and overall (OS) calculated using both Kaplan-Meier multivariate Cox-regression methods. was associated decreased PRS OS (HR 2.69; 95 % CI, 1.28–5.63; p = 0.009, HR 2.50; 1.12–5.56; p = 0.025, respectively) analysis, but there no association between DFS. only disease progression during (p = 0.014). Interestingly, this not absolute, 5 11 demonstrated increase. Regarding remaining 12 increase, according to RECIST criteria, eight partial response four stable disease. In study, we an adverse prognostic factor for PRS, DFS undergoing resection liver-only metastases.
