摘要: Infection of pregnant women with Toxoplasma gondii places the developing fetus at risk for congenital infection. We report a prospective study 43 documented cases acute maternal infections acquired during gestation in which polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was evaluated diagnosis fetal infection and compared current standard methods. On basis direct lysis pelleted amniotic fluid cells followed by amplification gene sequence specific T. gondii, PCR correctly identified presence five samples from four proven also detected three positive nonprospective group. The two diagnostic methods comparable speed, detection immunoglobulin M blood inoculation into tissue culture, only 3 4 10 samples, respectively. considerably more time-consuming mouse both 7 samples. There were no false-positive diagnoses any Therefore, appears to be most promising method prenatal infection, since it is extremely rapid highly sensitive. Images
