摘要: By using polycapillary lenses to focus laser-produced x-ray sources high intensities, an improvement in signal-to-noise ratio can be achieved. Here the He-α line emission produced by driving a titanium backlighter target is focused lens and output characterized. The spot measured have peak intensity of 4.5 × 107 photons, with total photon count 8.8 108 0.13 ± 0.01 mm2. This setup equivalent placing 3 mm from sample 600 μm diameter pinhole. enables placement at much larger distance studied therefore has ability greatly improve on detectors. We demonstrate this two simple diffraction experiments pyrolytic graphite polycrystalline aluminium.
