Effects of age on the reciprocal peak torque ratios during knee muscle contractions in elite soccer players

摘要: To investigate the effects of age on reciprocal peak torque ratios during knee muscle contractions, 25 elite male soccer players, aged 22.3 +/- 3.8 yr (18-28), volunteered for present study. The players were grouped as adult (> 21 years, n = 13) and young (< or 12). Maximal concentric (CON) eccentric (ECC) isokinetic thigh strength was measured at angular velocities 30 degrees, 180 240 degrees 300 degrees/s. ECC CON torques flexors (hamstring, HAM) extensors (quadriceps, QUA) in dominant greater (P < 0.05) than 180, HAM/CON QUA ratio degrees/s compared to but not nondominant knee. Furthermore, conventional HAM/QUA all contraction higher players. In conclusion, findings study indicate that is influenced by Because there no effect leg, are more likely be result training background their age.
