The Evening Complex and the Chromatin-Remodeling Factor PICKLE Coordinately Control Seed Dormancy by Directly Repressing DOG1 in Arabidopsis.

摘要: Primary seed dormancy is acquired during development and maturation, which important for plant fitness survival. DELAY OF GERMINATION1 (DOG1) plays a critical role in inducing dormancy. DOG1 expression increases rapidly development, but the precise mechanism underlying this process remains elusive. In study, we showed that mutants with loss or reduced function of chromatin-remodeling factor PICKLE (PKL) exhibit increased PKL associates chromatin inhibits its transcription. We found physically interacts LUX ARRHYTHMO (LUX), member of evening complex (EC) circadian clock. Furthermore, directly binds to specific coding sequence DOG1, acts genetically downstream LUX. Mutations either EARLY FLOWERING3 (ELF3) encoding another EC led enhanced Surprisingly, these phenotypes were abolished when parent plants grown under continuous light. addition, observed function decreased H3K27me3 levels at locus. Taken together, our study reveals regulatory EC proteins coordinate transmit signals regulating development.
