摘要: Polybenzimidazole (PBI) and polysulfone (PS) do not form miscible blends; however, the tensile modulus strength of their blend fibers are comparable to, or better than, that PBI fibers, depending on process conditions. Fibers spun from an 80/20 PBI/PS solution have PBI-like LOI (limiting oxygen indices) flame shrinkage behavior. Sulfonation stabilization this fiber improve its thermal properties. The window for these has been determined. There was no aging phenomenon as-spun while made PBI/polyarylate (PA) PBI/high aramides (HMA) exhibited remarkable effects This difference probably arises fact (1) former is a blend, latter are; (2) does hydrolysis groups, such as ester amide in PA HMA systems.
