摘要: The life of a leaf initiated from primordium ends with senescence, the final step development. Leaf senescence is developmentally programmed degeneration process that controlled by multiple developmental and environmental signals. It highly regulated complex involves orderly, sequential changes in cellular physiology, biochemistry, gene expression. Elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying such complex, yet delicate challenging important biological task. For past decade, impressive progress has been achieved on processes through identification genes show enhanced expression during senescence. In addition, Arabidopsis established as model plant for genetic analysis characterization mutants firmly shown genetically phenomenon involving numerous regulatory elements. Especially, employment global well genomic resources very fruitful revealing nature This progress, including some elements, are composed network. this review, we will present current understanding which processed, focusing mostly factors Arabidopsis. We also potential biotechnological implication studies improvement agronomic traits crop yield post-harvest shelf life. further provide future research prospects to better understand network
