摘要: Summary We evaluated an endobronchial valve device in the treatment of surgically created air leak or pneumothorax by eliminating antegrade flow. Methods Six sheep underwent general anesthesia with positive pressure ventilation and left thoracotomy. After division mediastinal pleura, contralateral cranial lobe was identified a 2.5 cm×1.5 cm laceration resultant leak. Using bronchoscopy, we deployed bronchus injured segment. Chest drainage tube placed thoracotomy closed. At 1 week ( n = 3 ) 4 weeks ), animals anesthesia, bronchoscopy right Results All survived procedure. Bronchoscopic placement segmental resolved immediately. closure thoracotomy, chest demonstrated minimal no weeks, showed change location, treated segments were atelectatic fibrous scar at site. Conclusions Collapse selected lung segment resolution can be achieved using bronchoscopically implanted device. The may facilitate patients post-surgical post-traumatic persistent
