摘要: Epistemological beliefs are those concerning the nature of knowledge and learning: about how individuals come to know, is constructed. There growing evidence in literature that indicates epistemological influence students learning, but little research as learning environments impact on students' beliefs, hence approaches study. This paper reports a project investigated effects major course revision beliefs. The underwent was large undergraduate information systems course. environment created aimed engage independent web-based utilised small-group workshop activities based previous work required undertake web-supported (WSIA) before attending lecturer facilitated small group workshops. Formal lectures were minimised just five 1-hour session. Research into undertaken at time introduction new structure, encouragingly, some aspects changed one teaching session (even if not way anticipated). briefly describes structure then quantitative results accompanying research. Implications this for structuring universities discussed.
