摘要: Author(s): Bowns, James E. | Abstract: Rangelands occupy a large portion of the western United States and world. Grazing by ruminant animals provides only means obtaining usable products from these lands. Sheep goats are more efficient producers, better adapted to many ranges, useful in controlling or manipulating shrubs other undesirable vegetation which results improved range conditions increased water yields. There has been general decline sheep goat numbers shift toward cattle. Predation major factor abandonment operations livestock. A viable industry can survive with an adequate predator management program that includes all methods protecting livestock as well available lethal methods.
